exhibition
Denis O'Regan at The Wharf
Through the Crystal Lattice

Renowned English rock photographer Denis O'Regan (www.denis.co.uk) is coming to The Wharf from 29 February-30 June with an exhibition of his work entitled Through The Crystal Lattice.
Known as 'Doris' to Freddie Mercury, 'Reg' to Duran Duran', 'Scoop' to Bob Geldof, and occasionally 'Yob' to Keith Richards, Denis honed his craft in the UK Punk scene of the 1970s and in 1978, the most published photographer in music paper NME. In the 80s and 90s his photographs were published worldwide and he toured the globe as official photographer to the Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, KISS, Duran Duran, Queen, David Bowie, Spandau Ballet and Pink Floyd.
Denis was also official Live Aid photographer in 1985 at Wembley Stadium, and over the last ten years has shot major events with exclusive access, including Concert For Diana, MTV European Music Awards and Hard Rock Calling.
The exhibition (all images are for sale) will include a selection from across his career, including, a 2008 image of KISS' Gene Simmons live on stage blowing flames, which recently sold for £2,000 at Cancer Research's Sound & Vision event at Abbey Road studios.
Also on show will be a black and white print of Sid Vicious' last UK performance. This shot was used by all the UK music papers to illustrate Sid's obituary.
